We had a post-St. Patty's Day party last night - what a blast!
I made my Irish Car Bomb cupcakes again and they tasted pretty good! These are Guinness chocolate cupcakes with Irish whiskey filling and Baileys buttercream frosting.
In honor of St. Patty's Day - I dyed the frosting green... :) Here are some photos:

Laker's Birthday Cake!
A co-worker commissioned me to make a birthday cake for his son-in-law. He said either "Simpsons" or "Lakers". I opted for the Lakers theme because I thought this would be less time consuming and it was a really small cake.
This is just a plain yellow cake with milk chocolate fudge filling and frosting. I made it like a Laker's jersey and left room for them to put his name on it and a big candle!

Dad's Birthday Cake
We celebrated my Dad's birthday a couple weeks ago. He turned 56 on March 6th! :) Of course, I volunteered to make the cake. However, Dad doesn't care for fondant so I had to try to test out my buttercream skills... YIKES!
This was a homemade dark chocolate chip cake with dark chocolate ganache buttercream filling and frosting (crumb coat) and a dark chocolate fudge icing. I used the buttercream for the decorating. It was VERY tasty! :)
Happy (belated) Birthday Dad! Love you!
